DIRECTOR – MARK AUSTIN B.ENG. FBCS CITP

With over thirty years’ experience in public sector information technology, Mark Austin is an accomplished and highly committed Information Technology/Business Information professional, having fulfilled roles ranging from Chief Information Officer (CIO) through to Informatics Director.

During his time within the NHS, he has gained a wide breadth of expertise in organisation operational Service Level Management, IT, Information Analysis and Information Governance (including IG Toolkit), Subject Access Requests/arbitrations, Freedom of Information requests/challenges. He had involvement within the East of England IG Forum and organisational data sharing agreements functional teams.

Mark has implemented an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, as well as successfully delivering a multi-million pound IT procurement (including OJEU). He has installed projects bringing efficiency savings using the PRINCE 2 methodology and overseen complete technology fit-outs of a number of large complex properties. To add to his portfolio, he has also contributed to case-studies for use of Dell Blade with EMC disk sub-systems, computer server room facilities, Symantec Data Loss Prevention software and Xirrus Wireless Technology.
